THE PHILANTHROPIC ARM

OUR IMPACT
The Jack and Jill Foundation works hard to ensure that our commitment to high impact philanthropy results in meaningful change that address underlying issues affecting African American children. To increase our impact and improve outcomes, we believe that focusing on key areas such as housing insecurity, education, health and wellness, and the African American family as a whole can bring about positive outcomes. The Chicago Chapter proudly supports the Jack and Jill Foundation through its Annual Fundraiser.

OUR PHILANTHROPIC FOCUS AREAS
Research shows that in order to promote meaningful impact in the lives of children and families, we must strengthen the family structure, environments and resources in which they live, learn and develop. Jack and Jill Foundation is setting the bar for high impact philanthropy in the African American community by increasing investments and maximizing the impact of our dollars. We are committed to supporting services, programs and organizations that focus on impacting root causes of social problems affecting African American children and families.

Our investments will improve outcomes for core issues in the following three Philanthropic Focus Areas focused on improving key issues affecting African American children and families.
  • AFRICAN AMERICAN FAMILIES
    • Affordable homeownership can bring benefits not only to individuals and their families but also to the wider community and economy. Taking action is crucial, which is why we provide grants to organizations that aim to establish a stable environment for children and families. Homeownership can increase community engagement and development, foster social mobility, reduce crime, and enhance the overall value of the community.
  • EDUCATION
    • Education matters because it is the foundation for success and opens doors to opportunities. Early education, math skills, and HBCUs play crucial roles in ensuring that all children have access to education and the resources they need to succeed. It is our responsibility as a society to invest in education and empower the next generation of leaders.
  • HEALTH AND WELLNESS
    • Health disparities between African Americans and other racial and ethnic populations are striking and apparent in life expectancy, death rates, infant mortality, and other measures of health status and risk conditions and behaviors.
